Violations and Defects
Violations record inspection findings that show various defects typically attributed to elevating devices. Violations can also be described as a record of non-compliance that must be resolved promptly.
Several Violation types are set up before using the Violations entity during implementation. Your local governing body dictates these Violation types and, therefore, vary depending on where your business operates.
As mentioned above, Violations and Defects work together to show a record of non-compliance. In simpler terms, Violations are the records of non-compliance, while Defects are the details of the Violation.
Several codes can be set up during implementation to identify different defects and actions required to rectify the issue. These codes are dictated by your local governing body and your organization's internal processes; therefore, each customer will have their process for logging Defects.
